[Washington, D.C.] – [July 8, 2025] – Internet Works proudly announces that Mozilla has joined the coalition as its newest member. Internet Works is an association of medium-sized internet companies, or ““”Middle Tech,” advocating for smart and balanced tech policy that considers companies of all sizes. Internet Works is Mozilla’s only current U.S. trade association membership, reinforcing the coalition’s vast representation across the full spectrum of the internet economy.

““”We are thrilled to welcome Mozilla to Internet Works. Mozilla’s decision to join Internet Works reflects the growing importance of Middle Tech voices in tech policy debates at both the federal and state levels. As the internet continues to evolve, it’s important that we bring together companies that span the digital space to amplify policies that promote innovation and competition for tech companies of all sizes, as well as safety and privacy for their users,” said Peter Chandler, Executive Director of Internet Works.

“For decades, Mozilla has championed an open internet that fuels innovation, competition and choice. We’re excited to work with Internet Works to ensure the web is just that. A web that empowers users, not profits,” said Jennifer Taylor Hodges, Director of US Public Policy & Government Relations at Mozilla.

Internet Works provides a unique forum where Middle Tech companies, like Mozilla, can pragmatically and positively shape policy. Mozilla’s membership underscores a growing recognition that the internet is not a monolith but rather a diverse ecosystem and Middle Tech companies deserve a seat at the policy table.
